Alumnae of Color Initiative
The Alumnae of Color Initiative at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School envisions a vibrant, lifelong sisterhood in which every alumna of color is seen, valued, and celebrated for the richness of her identity and the unique contributions she brings to our Mercy community and the world.
Rooted in Gwynedd’s commitment to dignity, compassion, and belonging, we strive to cultivate a space where cultural, racial, and ethnic differences are honored and uplifted, and where each woman can engage authentically and confidently in our shared traditions, programs, and leadership pathways.
As Mercy Girls, we carry forward the lessons, friendships, and spirit of service instilled at Gwynedd. The Alumnae of Color Initiative works to strengthen those bonds—supporting, mentoring, and empowering one another as we continue to grow as strong, merciful global leaders.
Together, we build a community that reflects our values, celebrates our diversity, and ensures that every alumna of color knows that this will always be her school—a home where she belongs, contributes, and thrives.
Multicultural Parents Association
To foster an inclusive, equitable, and compassionate school community that affirms the cultural, racial, and ethnic identities of all families while upholding the values of the Sisters of Mercy and Catholic Social Teaching.
The Gwynedd Mercy Academy Multicultural Parent Alliance (GMA MPA), operating under the umbrella of the Parents Association, is a group of parents committed to creating, nurturing, and integrating cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity into the life of the school. Rooted in the Mercy Core Values and Catholic Social Teaching, the MPA supports an inclusive community where every family feels welcome, seen, heard, and valued.
