Geometry - Tesselations
geometry tesselations

Dr. Clementi's students studied tesselations this week. They first examined the works of M.C. Escher, a famous Dutch artist who is well known for his hundreds of tesslelation drawings. They created their own tesselations which are patterened figures using wooden blocks.

The students also ventured outside to work on their symmetry projects. They examined flags of the world, flags of the states and signaling flags to find reflections and rotational symmetry.
