Gwynedd's newly founded Model UN Club is attending it’s first conference this weekend at American University in Washington D.C.  Founders, Mia Lanphear and Victoria Borlando, attended a one day training conference at American University in November.  Since then they have recruited several other members building the GMA delegation to six for this three day, competitive conference.

The girls have been assigned different positions and had to do research to prepare for the conference. Their assigned roles range from executives at Exxon Mobile and Sinopec, to the Premier of North Korea, to representatives from the Republic of Armenia.  They are learning so much and hope to bring that knowledge back to GMA to further grow the Model UN program.
