August 1, 2024 - Class of 2029 Admissions Application Opens

• Registration for the Entrance-Scholarship Exam, 8th Grade Visitation Days, and Open House are available through the Admissions Portal Checklist after your application has been submitted
• Personal & Group Tour Registration is available via the dropdown menu below. 

September 2024- Financial Aid Application Opens

September 27, 2024 - Extended Time Documentation for the Entrance-Scholarship Exam Due

October 4, 2024

• First Round Consideration Deadline for Class of 2029 Applications
• Final Deadline for all Scholarship Application Materials (Legacy, STEM, Music, and Art Scholarships)

October 5 & 13, 2024 - Entrance-Scholarship Exam (Students need only attend one testing date)

An application must first be submitted in order to access the admissions checklist which will enable you to register for the Entrance-Scholarship exam, schedule an 8th Grade visitation day, and submit supplemental materials including the Teacher Recommendation & School Records Request. 

All admissions materials can be submitted via the Admissions Portal.

Class of 2029 Entrance/Scholarship Exam

Saturday, October 5, 2024 OR

Sunday, October 13, 2024

• The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is for 8th graders applying for 9th grade admissions for the 2025-2026 academic year. 
• A student must sit for the Entrance-Scholarship Exam at GMAHS in order to be eligible and considered for scholarships. Students need only sit for the exam on one of the offered dates. 
• Please register for the Entrance-Scholarship Exam through your Admissions Portal after you have submitted your application.

Testing Day Details

• Registered families will receive an email with additional test day details prior to your scheduled exam date.
• Check-in will begin at 7:30 am. Testing begins promptly at 8:00 am. Testing will end between 11:30 am - 12 (noon) approximately. Students requesting extended time conclude at approximately 12:30 PM.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School requires the submission of the following application materials:

• School Records Request: An unofficial copy of your daughter's academic transcript that should include all 6th & 7th Grade marks and standardized test scores

• Teacher Recommendation: One recommendation from a teacher who knows the applicant especially well and can speak to her academic ability and character. Your recommendation request will be sent as part of your application. 

You must request these supplemental materials digitally via the Application Checklist in your Admissions Portal.

Admissions decision cannot be made until we have received all materials.

All 8th grade applicants are encouraged to come spend the day at Gwynedd!

Visitation Days run annually from September through December for all 8th grade students who are interested in applying to Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School.

Fall 2024 Open House 

Sunday, September 29, 2024 - 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Open House is an opportunity for all interested students and their families to spend the afternoon at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School with current students, parents, and faculty. Learn about the Gwynedd community; a place where young women thrive in an environment that fosters academic rigor, personal growth, and service and leadership opportunities.

Class of 2029 Applicants applying to Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School can submit a Financial Aid/Tuition Assistance application via our Financial Aid application page. 

Our Financial Aid application for the 2025-2026 Academic Year opens September 2024! 

Any prospective student who wishes to be considered for Financial Aid/Tuition Assistance, must submit a completed Financial Aid application with all supporting documents.  If the applicant meets this deadline, decisions about financial awards will be communicated before the Confirmation Deadline.

All returning Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School families and transfer students will apply for Financial Aid starting in January, each year.

*Please note, financial aid for late 9th grade applicants and transfer applicants is reviewed on a rolling basis

Prospective Students & Parents are invited to join us for a Personal or Group Tour in the fall.

Personal Tours last about 90 minutes and are ideal for 8th graders who may not be able to join us for a full visitation day! All personal tours begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 10:00 am!

Personal Tours take place October through December again from February through May.

Congratulations to the students who have been invited to the Class of 2029 Accelerated Scholars Program!

Current 7th Grade Students (Class of 2029) who take the 7th Grade Practice Test at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School are considered for the Class of 2029 Accelerated Scholars Program.
