Role of the Alumnae Board
- Providing resources for networking, support, and friendship
- Offering opportunities for continued engagement, learning, prayer, and service

Meet our Alumnae Board President, Anna Skoien Lall '02
On July 1, 2020, the Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School Alumnae Association welcomed Anna Skoien Lall ’02 as its new president for a two-year term. As president, Anna also serves as an ex-officio member of the School’s Board of Trustees.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in classics, Anna worked in public relations agencies in Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston before earning her master’s degree in education from Boston College. She was a high school Latin teacher in Massachusetts before relocating back to Pennsylvania.
Anna has been a longtime volunteer leader for Gwynedd. A member of the Alumnae Association Board from 2006-2008, she returned to serve on the Board in 2018. Anna also has served as a member of the School’s Leadership Program Advisory Council and is a member of the School’s President’s Leadership Council and 1861 Society.
While a student at Gwynedd, Anna served as Student Council President, Junior and Sophomore Class President, Latin Club founder and President, and Ministry Officer. She also played soccer and lacrosse all four years. Anna lives with her husband, Brian, and their three children in Blue Bell.
Join a Committee!
Awards Committee: Recognizes the exceptional achievements and service by alumnae with the ultimate goal to inspire others. Duties: Promote and solicit applications and select recipients for the Association’s Trocaire Leadership and Margaret Beirn Barger ’35 Distinguished Alumna Awards and the School’s Athletic Wall of Fame.
Classes & Reunion Committee: Supports Class Agents in building class community, especially those celebrating milestone reunions. Duties: Work closely with the Alumnae Engagement Director and Class Agents to provide useful resources to class leadership and to encourage opportunities for engagement (Reunion, Golf Classic, McAuley’s Pub Night, Mercy Girl Effect events for children, etc.).
Learning & Networking Committee: Provides opportunities for alumnae to benefit from continuing education and professional networking opportunities. Duties: In partnership with Gwynedd Force and other GMA Offices, provide current event/topic/industry specific discussions/seminars, general networking programs, and mentoring opportunities across generations.
Scholarship Committee: Grows the Association’s Legacy Scholarship in support of qualifying students of alumnae and generations to come. Duties: Promote the scholarship among members, increase philanthropic support, select recipients, and engage current and past recipients.
Ministry & Service Committee: Engages members in meaningful prayer and community service activities to further our Mercy connection and mission. Duties: Plan opportunities for prayer and service for alumnae near and beyond GMA.
Young Alumnae Committee: Serve the specific interests of alumnae who have graduated within the last ten years and assist young alumnae in staying connected and supporting their alma mater. Duties: Help design and implement meaningful opportunities to ensure a lifelong sisterhood and connection to GMA.
