About the Coach
COACH KAMAL SEEHRA P’28, HEAD COACH, FIELD HOCKEY
Kamal Seehra is the Head Coach of the Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School Field Hockey program and is in his second year with the team. He brings 20 years of coaching experience, including time with Philly Hockey Club and over 15 years with the Toronto Lions. Coach Seehra also competed at the professional level in England and represented Canada at the junior high-performance level. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from USIU.
Coach Seehra has guided teams to notable success, including a Club JPOL championship and the 2024 PIAA District 1 Championship. His coaching philosophy centers on open communication, fostering a growth mindset, and emphasizing life skills development. He values mentoring student-athletes and helping them grow both as competitors and individuals.
