STUDENT INTERNSHIPS Applications for student internships are now being accepted. Internships are stipend positions within Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School in which professional insight and experience can be gained. An internship will involve a total of APPROXIMATELY 50 hours per school year. The role should not take the place of volunteer activities done by clubs, teams, etc. Upon completion of the program, interns will receive a stipend of $500. To apply, fill out the attached form. Navigating College Admission Testing Tuesday, September 29th at 7PM In order to bring you the most current information on the landscape of standardized testing, we have invited an industry expert from the Compass Education Group to host a webinar on September 29th at 7:00pm. This thoughtful and pragmatic webinar on college admission testing will be useful to students and parents alike. We will be joined by Matt Steiner, Senior Director at Compass Education Group, who will be sharing key insights on the following: –COVID-19's sweeping impact on college admission testing – The surging growth of the "test optional" movement – Making sense of the subtlety and variety of testing policies – Debunking the most pervasive myths about testing

Practice ACT (Virtual) Saturday, October 24th at 8:30AM This exam will be proctored live and online through Zoom. Regular-time and 50% extended-time will both be offered. Students will still be taking the test in a scheduled, proctored environment with actual test booklets, allowing us to get as close to the official setting as possible, without bringing students together in a classroom. ART Halle Coller '22 entered the PBS39 Artist of the Month contest and was chosen as September's winner! Halle was interviewed by PBS39 and will be featured on Monday, Sept. 7 at 6:30PM and 11:00PM. ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC Join Us for our Fall fundraiser and social, The 29th Annual Golf Classic This year, we are moving our Golf Classic to Bluestone Country Club on Monday, October 5 starting with a boxed lunch at 11:30am and shotgun start at 12:30pm. Visit gmahs.org/golf to register.
PARENT RELATIONS The Mothers' Club will host their "Welcome to the New School Year" meeting on Wednesday, September 9 at 7PM in the courtyard/quad located off the glass corridor.
