We need your feedback! Gwynedd will be launching the Assessment of Inclusivity and Multiculturalism in March 2021. Part of that process includes hearing your voice and perspective on issues pertaining to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice within our school community. During the discovery meetings, we will be exploring diversity, equity and inclusion within the context of one or more of the following topics - school governance & leadership, policy & administration, admissions, teaching & learning, student life, parent/guardian involvement and alumnae involvement & investment.
If you are interested in sharing your thoughts, learning more about diversity, equity, inclusion and justice or have interest in one of the topics above, we encourage you to volunteer to participate in one of our discussions. Discovery committee sessions will be held in the evening from Monday, March 22 through Friday, March 29 virtually. Each session will last approximately 90 minutes and will include a mix of stakeholders - trustees, teachers, administrators, students, parents and alumnae. This is the first time that we are implementing this project and we need your help and feedback to ensure that our work in this important arena incorporates the perspective of all members of our community.
To volunteer, please check your e-mail for a link this week or e-mail inclusion@gmahs.org with "DISCOVER" in the subject line. Please note that Alumnae participation in AIM is restricted to alumnae who have graduated between 2015 and 2020. If you are an alumna who has graduated earlier and would like to share feedback about diversity, equity, inclusion and justice at Gwynedd, please e-mail inclusion@gmahs.org.

WORKING WOMEN WARDROBE With the focus of Mercy Effect being the critical concern of women, Mercy Effect has initiated Working Women's Wardrobe -- a project that emphasizes this concern through hosting a clothing drive for donations of professional women's clothing. Commonly, women in the workforce experience lower wages, harsh working conditions, and unequal treatment due to gender bias and inequity. By guiding women who may feel discouraged in the workplace, the project aspires to "clothe our community in confidence!" Cassie '21, Kylie '21, Jackie '21, Kira '22, and Alexis '22 have been working diligently in planning these drives by completing Lead4Change. Through this, the girls will become certified in student leadership and develop skills to make an impact on their school and execute Working Women's Wardrobe!
