We wanted to extend a sincere thank you to all students and families who joined us on campus this summer for one of our camps and/or an admissions event! We hope you enjoyed your time with us and we look forward to seeing you again this fall! Last month, Grace Stetler '22 and Jane Hohenleitner '24 proudly represented Gwynedd Mercy while serving as counselors for the LaSalle College High School Running Camp alongside LSCHS XC captains. Way to go, ladies!
Abby Gorsuch '21 held her senior piano recital along with her fellow Gwynedd Mercy alumnae singers Jenna Toth '21, Ellie Keaton '21, Abby Bernesky '22, and guest singer Ben Yantis '21 (Bishop McDevitt, Harrisburg) to benefit local nonprofit A Better Life Cat rescue which was devastated in last Thursday's tornado in Bensalem.
We are proud of our alumnae who continue to use their talents and abilities to provide for others. Thank you to all who generously donated to aid the rescue and replace the lost supplies and food.
Abby G and Ben will both be freshmen at Shenandoah Conservatory this fall in their nationally ranked Musical Theatre program for accompaniment and MT performance, respectively.
Congratulations to incoming freshman art scholar, Sydney Hrlic '25. Sydney won 2nd place at Ned Smith Youth Art Contest. Sydney graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Elementary in June and will are thrilled she will be continuing her study of art at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School starting in September.
Meet the Gwynedd Student Body President Ellie Perry '22
Hi Girls!
My name is Ellie Perry and I am a rising senior at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. Coming to Gwynedd was one of the best decisions I have ever made. As soon as I walked into the building, I felt a welcoming embrace from the Gwynedd girls and staff. Something I recognized right away was how supportive everyone was to one another. The teachers really care about their work in and out of the classroom. They don't just care for you as a student, but also a young woman.
I love that you can pursue any of your passions at Gwynedd. There are so many opportunities to explore, whether that is being the lead in a musical, joining a sports team, taking art classes, learning a new instrument, or anything you can think of. There is something for everyone and, if an opportunity does not exist yet, you can create your own club. Participating in so different activities allows you to figure out what you love most. Gwynedd develops you into a leader and a strong woman. I am honored to serve as the Student Body President of Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School for the 2021-2022 school year. I can honestly tell you that through my experiences in student council and other activities, Gwynedd becomes a second home. As I enter my final year at Gwynedd, I am so excited to make new memories at this amazing school with my mercy sisters all around me.
I hope you all consider becoming Gwynedd girls!
If you have any questions at all, don't ever hesitate to ask. I hope you all have a great rest of summer, and I hope to see you in the red and gold corridors soon!
