"WE WALK WITH..." Gwynedd students organiz/ed a school-wide Peace Walk entitled, "We Walk With..." in solidarity with the victims of the Parkland, FL shooting and for peace across our country and throughout the world. Earlier in the week, students made origami cranes representing their prayers for peace, and they were hung throughout the school corridors. Wednesday morning began with a student-led prayer service and an impassioned speech by Gwynedd Junior, Olivia Manfrey. Students then silently processed through the red and gold corridors of Gwynedd in a walk for peace, led by event organizers carrying a hand painted banner bearing the names of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School victims. The somber and prayer-filled walk throughout the red and gold corridors concluded with a final prayer in the Performing Arts Center. It was there that our school community formed a single circle of Mercy in a powerful and moving display of unity and prayer for peace.
