Thank you for all you do for Gwynedd and our Girls, and we hope to see you on FRIDAY!

SPRING UNIFORMS

Students will begin wearing spring uniforms tomorrow, Monday, April 16. As a reminder, the spring uniform consists of a white banded bottom polo shirt with emblem, light blue kilt, navy socks or tights and traditional loafers in burgundy or black.

CREW PROGRAM:

INFORMATION SESSION THURSDAY

An information session will be held on Thursday, April 19 at 6:30PM for all students and parents who are interested in learning about Gwynedd's brand new Crew program! Members of the administration, the Athletics Department, and Crew experts will be on hand to discuss program details and answer questions.

If your daughter thinks she might want to "do Crew", this is the meeting for you! We look forward to seeing many of you on April 19 in the Performing Arts Center.

COURSE SELECTION

Course selection has officially begun, as students received their course selection worksheets from the counselors in their advisory classes on Monday, April 9th. Throughout this past week and next week, students are being advised by their teachers and counselors about appropriate course offerings for them, based upon the specific recommendations of their teachers regarding eligibility for honors and AP classes. Please feel free to contact your daughter's teachers or counselor if you have questions about her course selection for next year.

As a supplemental resource, we encourage you to visit the Scholar page of the school website for departmental information about course offerings and prerequisites for honors and AP classes. Completed and signed course selection sheets are due to the Counseling Center by April 20.

PRESIDENT'S TEA

President Denise Marbach looks forward to welcoming and getting to know more of our Gwynedd families. The next morning tea with Denise and fellow parents is scheduled for April 25 at 8am.

Gatherings will be limited seven guests. Please RSVP to Denise at dmarbach@gmahs.org.

FATHER/DAUGHTER OUTING

The Fathers' Club will be hosting a Father/Daughter outing to the Phillies Game on May 12 at 7:00 PM.

The Phillies are playing the NY Mets, and we want to go cheer them on. There is nothing like a warm Spring night at the ballpark with our daughters.

We will be setting up either a tailgate or a picnic at the park before the game. Please use this SignUp Genius if you are interested so we can get a rough count of folks that want to go. Once we get an estimated count, we can determine what the tickets will cost.

Any questions, please contact Mike O'Malley at mike.omalley@simp-inc.com.

FREE HEART SCREENINGS FOR STUDENTS

Our friends at La Salle College High School are teaming up with Simon's Heart to offer free heart screenings for any student (regardless of school) aged 12-19. The screening will take place on May 12 at La Salle High School located at 8605 W. Cheltenham Ave in Glenside, PA.

The screening is intended for students who have never received an ECG exam or been examined by a cardiologist. The screening will look for undetected heart conditions that can lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death in the young, but is not a substitute for annual pediatric wellness visits. To register, students will need completed consent, medical and family history forms.

What is Simon's Heart?

Simon's Heart was established in 2005 in memory of Simon Sudman, a seemingly healthy three-month old who died from an undetected heart condition. The organization provides free heart screenings to students; advocates for legislation to protect student athletes; distributes AED devices through its crowdfunding site; promotes research through its digital registry; and raises awareness through cause marketing campaigns. For more information, visit www.simonsheart.org.
