For all our students who participate in after-school activities, nutritious snacks are now available for purchase during lunch periods, and can be stored in the Brock refrigerator.

COUNSELING NEWS

The counseling department would like to extend a warm welcome to the new school year to all of our students and families. We are looking forward to being a resource for you and providing support to your daughters throughout the year. Please don't hesitate to reach out to your daughter's counselor with any questions or concerns. We are here to help! 

For freshman, sophomore and transfer students, you can find your daughter's counselor here. Please click on "Counselor Caseloads." Students are broken down alphabetically in grades 9-12 between 3 school counselors and they will stay with the same school counselor throughout their time at Gwynedd. We are also in the final stages of hiring a college counselor to join our team. While determining the college counselor's specific student caseload, we anticipate a great deal of collaboration among counselors in the first year of this position. Please stay tuned!

Thank you to all of the parents who joined us for the annual Back-to-School Parent BBQ. We had over 200 parents join us to celebrate the start of what promises to be a fabulous school year. We look forward to seeing you throughout the school year.

MOTHERS' CLUB MEETING

The first meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday, September 12 at 7 PM in the Chapel with refreshments following in the lobby. The focus of the meeting will be to get to know each other better and start our new school year off with a renewed sense of community.

FATHERS' CLUB MEETING

All fathers are welcome to join us on Thursday, September 13 at 7 PM in the Cafeteria to meet other fathers and learn more about our upcoming year.

EVERYONE - students, alumnae, parents, faculty, staff, family and friends - is invited to Mercy Fest on Saturday morning, September 22, at GMA. 

• Run, walk or cheer on participants in GMA's CK5K, honoring the memory of Gwynedd student Carolyn Keen '10. Now ten years running, CK5K proceeds support a scholarship in her name at GMA.
• Celebrate the completion of our Athletic Enhancements Phase One—a $2 million project featuring a new multi-sport, synthetic turf field, expanded track and field areas, and an enhanced natural grass field.
• Cheer on our Gwynedd Field Hockey Team as they take on the Radnor Raiders on our new turf field.
• Enjoy some of Philly's best Food Trucks –Undrgrnd Donuts, The Tot Cart, and Frozen Island Smoothies and Ice Cream – for free!

CK5K: SATURDAY, SEPT. 22

• Walk/Run: Run, walk or cheer on participants in the 10th Annual CK5K, honoring the memory of  Carolyn Keen '10 and supporting the scholarship in her name at GMA.
• Registration:
  • $25 if you register by Sept. 9, includes CK5K T-Shirt;
  • $30 after Sept. 9 through Race Day, CK5K T-Shirt given while supplies last. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR PIKE FEST: SAT!

Lower Gwynedd Township will be hosting its annual Pike Fest on Saturday, September 15. We are partnering with the university (GMU) and the elementary school (GMAE) to sponsor the 5K event in the morning, and we are in need of volunteers to assist with packet pick-up, course support, water stations, etc. Please encourage your daughter to sign up and join us for this fun morning in support of Gwynedd and our local community. We look forward to seeing many from our Gwynedd Mercy family at Pike Fest!

Gwynedd's 27th Annual Golf Classic Committee invites all members of the Gwynedd community, family and friends to attend and support GMA's annual golf outing on Monday, October 8, at the Blue Bell Country Club.

More than a fun event, the Golf Classic is an important fundraiser that provides immediate support for academic programs and initiatives that directly benefit Gwynedd students. Gwynedd is most grateful to the Hansen Family for their generosity in hosting this year's outing at Blue Bell, allowing 100% of your registration and sponsorship dollars to directly support Gwynedd and our girls.
