On November 2, the Feast of All Souls, we remember and pray for all those who have died. We especially remember our loved ones as we pray that they may rest in the heart of God and in the peace of Jesus.

Throughout the month of November, we invite you to submit the names of your loved ones who reside with our Lord and Savior. The names will be placed in the Chapel throughout the month and will be remembered in prayer. Also, during our November Liturgy on November 20, we will remember them in a special way. All are welcome to attend.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Image

On Friday, Health Club turned Gwynedd's red and gold to PINK in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The Club's goal was to educate the school community about breast cancer and to celebrate the lives of those affected by breast cancer. Lockers were decorated with inspirational messages, and the cafeteria was awash with the pale hue for the annual "Pink Out." Health Club also hosted a bake sale to benefit the American Cancer Society.

A Message from Mothers' Club President, Taj Llopis:

Dear Gwynedd Moms,

Fall is here and so is our school theater production of "Bye Bye Birdie," please support our thespians and production crew by attending this great show next month, tickets are on sale online right now!

On another note, we had a fantastic School Open House. Christine Persia, the Chair and Mother's Club Vice President, did a great job in coordinating the Open House, thank you Christine! We want to also thank all the mom volunteers that supported the event on the day and all the parents that sent food and supplies. Special thanks to the Fathers' Club too. It's really awesome to see how the Gwynedd community comes together to put on a great event!

Planning has started on our 2019 Fashion Show "Breakfast at Tiffany's" which will be held at Presidential Caterers on Sunday, January 27, 2019. Jen Helmick, our Fashion Show Chair, is in the process of putting together planning committees for this fashionable event. Jen and I want moms to get involved; please email Jen at jenhelmick@aol.com if you can help in anyway. This is a lovely Mother Daughter event, extended family and friends are also invited. So update your calendars and save the date.

We had a great BUNCO night last Wednesday, most of the moms didn't know how to play, but our "Master of Ceremonies" Janice Zipfel got us on track with a lot of fun and laughter. Our winners and losers all got prizes and will hopefully be back next year for another match!

Our next Mothers' Club meeting is Wednesday, November 14, at 7pm in the cafeteria. We will be helping the Ministry Department prepare for the Mercy Hospice Christmas Dinner by organizing a workshop to make gifts for the adult guests. Donations of toiletries would be greatly appreciated. Please plan on joining us! Any questions can be directed to Janice Zipfel at jzipfel6@gmail.com. The School Store will be open during the Mothers' Club meeting from 7 PM- 9 PM. The store will offer a one-night-only 10% off discount (some exclusions apply on Vineyard Vines, special order jewelry and clearance items.) Start your Christmas shopping year and stop by to shop.
