A MESSAGE FROM THE MOTHERS’ CLUB PRESIDENT
January 2026
Dear GMA Moms and Guardians,
Greetings from the Mother’s Club and Happy New Year! 2025 ended on such a positive, lovely note with our Mercy Hospice Dinner. It was truly a beautiful, well-attended evening where our community of moms and daughters gave and received in true spirit of the season.
2026 is upon us whether we are ready or not, and we have a few events that occur right out of the gate! Please see below for details:
Winter Mothers' Club Meeting ♦ Wednesday, Jan. 21, 7:00pm
All are welcome. We will meet to highlight upcoming events, review our fall events, and believe it our not, start discussions on next year’s events-- all while enjoying each other’s company and ‘escaping’ a cold January evening. Wine and light snacks will be provided.
Mothers' Club Fashion Show & Brunch ♦ Sunday, Jan. 25, 9:30am
Come one and all! Although our amazing seniors are the highlight—(and we have a record number of Seniors participating—(so exciting)!!), this event is one to be enjoyed by all classes. This year’s theme is ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s, so naturally, brunch will be served alongside our incredible fashion show and amazing array of vendors who will be setting up shop—Lisi Lerch, Sarah Cornwell Jewelry, Primitive boutique, Urban Sun, Louella, and Giraffe, to name a few! The committee has been hard at work to ensure this event is up to the Tiffany & Co. standards—so expect some AMAZING raffle baskets that will showcase Golden Goose, “Return to Tiffany” jewelry, Lulu Lemon, Prom and Dorm essentials and much more! Please see the Mercy Messenger for details on registration, event is held off site at Presidential Caterers.
Mothers' Club Book Discussion ♦ February 5, 7:00pm
The next book selected for discussion is the “Lion Women of Tehran” by Marjan Kamali. Please refer to Mercy Messenger for registration. Reading or listening to the book prior to the meeting is encouraged, but not mandatory. We would love your company regardless!
I look forward to seeing you all in the upcoming weeks. Please always feel welcome to reach out to me with any Mother’s Club questions, concerns, suggestions, or feedback. My goal as MC President is to continue my predecessors’ commitment to make this group as inclusive, interesting and welcoming as possible.
Sincerely,
Colleen Valenzuela
