A MESSAGE FROM THE MOTHERS’ CLUB PRESIDENT

Dear Gwynedd Moms and Guardians,

My name is Tory Munoz, President of the Mother’s Club at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. My daughter, Sophia, is beginning her senior year at GMAHS this year (along with her twin brother, Myles, at LaSalle College High School). Welcome to Gwynedd Mercy---or welcome back, as the case may be!

A new school year means new beginnings, new friendships, new adventures, and new challenges for our students, whether they are just beginning high school or starting Senior year. The same holds true for us as parents and guardians as we help our daughters navigate these new experiences. While our version of “new” is a little different than theirs, it can be just as exciting, and maybe a little daunting. Embrace this newness with your daughter and enjoy every experience, because before you know it, she will be walking across the stage at graduation!

This year is particularly exciting, with the construction of the new Monarch Wing nearing completion in January, 2025.

Every Gwynedd mom/guardian is automatically a member of the Mother’s Club.  Throughout the year, Mother’s Club provides opportunities to spend time together socially, work together to give back to our community, support our daughters’ school, and create friendships with other parents. 

I hope you will join us for our first official Mothers’ Club gathering of the year on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 7:00pm.  We will gather in the Gwynedd Mercy Chapel to start our year in the same space our daughters start their journey as Gwynedd Mercy Monarchs.

After a brief prayer service, we invite you to enjoy refreshments in the Upper Courtyard, where we will share with you our plans for the year and the exciting events already in the works. You will have an opportunity to learn how you can get involved in our community.  As the saying goes, “Community is much more than belonging to something. It’s about doing something together that makes belonging matter.”
