Basketball Camp

The concentration of this camp is on basketball fundamentals, drills, competitive games, team and individual events, and more. Learn even more from our guest speakers. There will be daily and overall camp awards.

Crew: Learn to Row

Please join the GMAHS Women's Rowing team as they teach the basics of land training. Over the course of this three-evening camp, you will learn what an erg is, proper technique, and general rowing information, so that as you get stronger, you can apply this knowledge to camps/teams where you hop in the boat! During our land camp, you will spend time with our current rowers learning about the sport, how our rowers pivoted from different elementary school sports to rowing, how they balance, school/rowing/activities, and what a great team environment we have created here at Gwynedd. 

All campers will be contacted in August with additional details on what to expect - we cannot wait to see you!

Equipment Required: Gym clothes, sneakers, and a water bottle.

Field Hockey Camp

Running Camp

Join us for a week of running camp! This camp is designed to help athletes improve their fitness and endurance, all while fostering a love of running in a supportive and fun environment! Campers will work on their running technique, improving speed and sprinting ability, techniques to prevent injury, as well as learn about hydration and nutrition for athletes, all while having fun and building camaraderie. This camp will be run by GMAHS coaches and current track/cross country students.

Tennis camp offers a fun instructional program to players of varying ages and abilities. At our Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering Camp, you'll unlock the mysteries of DNA and dive into the cutting-edge world of genetic modifications. Ever wondered how scientists create superfoods or cure diseases? It's all thanks to the magic of biotechnology! From extracting DNA to learning how scientists "copy-paste" genes, you'll get hands-on experience with high-tech lab tools like PCR and gel electrophoresis–just like the pros!

Using professional-grade equipment, including podcast studios, cameras, mics, and a green screen, campers will learn how to craft their own news stories and create an entire broadcast segment–from the interview to the final edit. Whether they're interested in podcasting, journalism, or film production, this camp empowers girls to explore and create in the fast-paced world of media.

Cooking with Chef Craig: Culinary Fun in a Real Commercial Kitchen!

This hands-on cooking camp for girls entering grades 5–8 is all about having fun in the kitchen—mixing, mashing, tasting, and creating delicious things together. Campers will roll up their sleeves in a real commercial kitchen and experiment with crowd-pleasing favorites like guacamole from scratch or homemade empanadas, plus enjoy a special pastry lesson from a real pastry chef (because dessert deserves expert attention!).

Led by our own Chef Craig and his awesome team, this camp is relaxed, social, and joyfully messy. Girls will learn a few useful kitchen tips and techniques along the way, but the focus is on creativity, confidence, and enjoying the process—not perfection. Expect lots of laughs, plenty of tasting, and just enough learning to make them feel proud of what they’ve made.

  • Closed-Toe Shoes are a Must: For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes are required in the kitchen.

HSPT Prep Classes

Dates: August 3 - 6, 10 - 13, 2026

This 8-day program is designed to prepare rising 7th & 8th grade boys and girls for the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The program includes an HSPT Workbook, a blank copybook, and access to pre-recorded lessons (for absences only).

• What is the HSPT?
  • The High School Placement Test (commonly referred to as "the HSPT") is used by many local private schools and archdiocesan schools as the entrance exam that is part of the overall application process.
• What happens at the Test Prep Program?
  • During the 1st session and 7th session, the instructors will give modified Practice Assessments to gauge student growth and identify areas for improvement. At all other sessions, students will have classes that focus on HSPT Math content, HSPT English content, and overall Test Prep skills.
  What happens if I have to miss a day (or two)?
  • No problem! While we can't prorate the program, the Director of the Test Prep Program will work with you on anything missed. In addition, pre-recorded lessons of all sessions will be available to every student in the Test Prep Program in case of an absence, to be used to review key concepts after each session, or both!

Into the Deep: Robotics Camp

Dive into marine STEM at our Competition Ready camp! In teams, students will build and program LEGO SPIKE robots to tackle the 2024 FLL "Submerged" missions. Students will practice precise motor control and sensor navigation, and run timed trial matches. Alongside robot work, students research ocean topics, refine strategies, and polish presentations. Focused on teamwork, iteration, and hands‑on learning, this camp is perfect for students who want to explore the ocean and robotics.

Bright Minds: Illuminating Creativity with 3D Printing

If you have an interest and appreciation for cool prints, patterns, and designs, then Superstar Stenciling and Printmaking may be the perfect camp for you!

Stenciling and printmaking are fun and interesting forms of creative expression that have existed for thousands of years. Each allows you to duplicate your own design through a variety of processes and techniques. You will learn about their similarities and differences, explore their uses, and most importantly, experiment with your own stenciling and printmaking designs! This class will use traditional and nontraditional tools. Additionally, you will spend your time in the beautiful GMAHS art studio!

Throughout history, portraits have been a powerful means of creative expression. More specifically, self-portraits provide artists with an opportunity to make a statement about who they believe themselves to be and what they want the world to know about them. It is a great opportunity to instill confidence, communicate creatively, and reinforce feelings of love and appreciation for oneself!

Join us for an opportunity to work within our sunny, beautiful art studio with a highly esteemed and experienced artist. Participants will learn how to create self-portrait collages using mixed media techniques, which include pencils, markers, photos, decorative paper, fabric, yarn, and string embellishments. Students will learn about iconic female portrait artists like Frida Kahlo and Bisa Butler. Campers will gain confidence with color, line, pattern, and composition, creating self-inspired masterpieces that could be realistic, abstract, surreal, whatever they want them to be!

Make Your Own Musical Camp

Do you have a favorite musical?  Is it The Lion King, Mama Mia, or Wicked? If so, have you ever wondered how a story or idea is transformed into a full-length musical? How do you develop a script? Who selects the music? How do you decide who to cast and for what roles? How do you determine how many performances even to have?

If you are interested in developing a musical, performing in a musical, or understanding how the creative and business sides come together, then you should consider Make Your Own Musical (MYOM). Led by Gwynedd’s musical director, participants will be taken on a magical, mystical, musical journey through the creation and production of an original musical that they create. Students will perform their musical on the final day.

Sign up for music lessons taught by instructors from our prestigious Performing Arts program at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. Lessons are offered to current students, as well as interested students, both boys and girls, entering grades 5 through 12 (as of September 2026) who wish to begin or continue private vocal or instrumental study over the summer months.
