Join Your Mercy Family for a Spiritual Enrichment Program

Live Lent!
Weekly from 6:30-8:00 PM for six weeks

All parents (past and current,) alums, and faculty/staff of our Mercy school communities are invited to participate in an engaging six-week, guided prayer experience designed for small groups and modeled on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

The program is designed to:
• Foster spiritual renewal in the Catholic Tradition
• Empower individuals to encounter God in everyday life
• Deepen and share faith
• Connect faith and action


Meetings will be held weekly from 6:30-8:00PM, six consecutive weeks in Lent, beginning March 4.

A $20 Program Fee includes participant book and refreshments.

Availability is limited. Registration is required by Friday, February 22, 2019.

Meet Our Facilitators

Sr. Honora Nicholson, RSM

Sr. Honora Nicholson, RSM is a trained spiritual director and retreat director who ministered at Merion Mercy Academy as the School Minister and theology teacher from 1976-1983. Sister also served as the Campus Minister and adjunct professor of theology at Gwynedd Mercy University from 1983-1989 and was elected to the Leadership Team of the Sisters of Mercy from 2000-2016.

Sr. Bernadette Duross, RSM

Sr. Bernadette Duross, RSM

Sr. Bernadette Duross, RSM serves as the Director of Mission integration at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School and is a member of the President’s leadership team at Gwynedd. She is also a retreat director and spiritual director with experience in facilitating adult faith formation.


Barbara Colantuono Harrison '82, P'14, '16

Barbara Colantuono Harrison ’82, P’14, ’16 is an alumna of Merion Mercy Academy, the mother of two daughters who graduated from MMA, and a son who is a current sophomore at St. Joseph's Prep.  She was the Director of Student Activities and theology teacher from 1988-93, and is currently the Director of Summer Programs and Alumnae Relations Coordinator at the school. 

Sr. Barbara MacWilliams, RSM

Sister Barbara MacWilliams, RSM is a Sister of Mercy who currently works at Waldron Mercy Academy.

She has taught in schools throughout the Philadelphia region as well as the Allentown and Raleigh dioceses. Sister has participated in numerous Middle School Evaluations and has experience in working with and facilitating various groups as Principal and as Chair of Middle States teams.

Sr. Gail Osborne, RSM

Sr. Gail Osborne, RSM is a Sister of Mercy who has ministered as teacher, principal, and director of religious education in elementary education. Sister Gail now oversees "Mercy on the Move" a mission based program for students at Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Elementary.

Linda Chiodo Reeves, M.Ed. '76, P'11

Linda Chiodo Reeves, M.Ed. '76, P'11, is a Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School alumna and past parent, teacher at Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Elementary, and is a Mercy Associate.  She is involved in her parish service commissions and pastoral council.  Linda has been a facilitator for several Catholic faith sharing retreats.

Sr. Anna Saltzman, RSM

Sr. Anna Saltzman, RSM is currently in her 8th year as Director of Campus Ministry at Merion Mercy Academy.  Sister has years of training and experience as a Spiritual Director.  


Liz Sher

Liz Sher has served as Director of Religious Education at Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Elementary for the past twelve years and is eager to participate in the Meeting Christ in Prayer program.


Sr. Marianna Walsh, RSM

Sister Marianna Walsh, RSM is a Sister of Mercy who has spent many years in Secondary Education.

Sister has ministered at Mercy Career and Technical School for the past nineteen years, where she currently serves. She also spent three years at Merion Mercy Academy High School, while also working as a Co-Director of Secondary Education. Sister Marianna taught at GMAHS for three years and has much experience in facilitating groups.
