Founded in 1861, Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls. For over 150 years, our benefactors have generously supported our mission of educating young women in the spirit of Catherine McAuley, Foundress of the Sisters of Mercy. This support has enabled us to continue to provide excellence in academics, education, faith formation leadership training and extra-curricular activities.
The mission of the Advancement team, is to advance the mission of the school through fundraising efforts. We accomplish this in several ways: the Mercy Fund, the Golf Outing and the Mercy Magic Auction and are supported in these efforts by an enthusiastic and hard working Mothers' and Fathers' Club, present and past parents, alumnae and friends. The Alumnae Association is led by the Director of Alumnae Relations and governed by its own Board of Directors who are dedicated to connecting with alumnae and keeping them connected to the school. They sponsor several annual events including Salute to the Stars, Quizzo Night, young alumnae activities, Class Agent programs and publish the Mercy Magazine. Individual alumnae often return to Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School and share their professional success stories with the students.
