1861 Society

Honoring the year in which Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School was founded, the 1861 Society recognizes the school's annual leadership donors. All gifts of $1,861, or more, given each fiscal year will be recognized towards the Society*.

Your support of the 1861 Society signifies your commitment to the Gwynedd Mercy community. Continued investment is critical to ensure our mission of compassion and service and to advance our goals of excellence in academics, the arts and athletics for generations of Mercy girls to come.

Members of the 1861 Society will be invited to exclusive events, receive special literature and correspondence from school leadership on school-related news and initiatives directly impacted by this funding.

All members of the Gwynedd Mercy community - alumnae, parents, colleagues and friends - are encouraged and welcomed to join the 1861 Society. Together, we can continue to educate young women in the values of compassion and mercy. In the words of Catherine McAuley, “No work of charity can be more productive of good to society…than the careful instruction of women.”

Thank you to all of our alumnae, parents, grandparents, friends, faculty and staff that continue to support Gwynedd Mercy Academy each and every year!

*We are excited to invite alumnae from the classes of 1999-2017 to join the 1861 Society as an associate member starting at $100.
