A brief conversation and 15 minutes to complete a simple form were all it took for me to make an impact that will last a lifetime."

The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Programs give individuals and businesses the opportunity to turn your PA tax dollars into financial aid, enabling qualifying students to attend Gwynedd Mercy.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

High Impact, Low Cost: For Example -
$5,000 Donation
$4,500 Tax Credit (90% for a two-year commitment)
$500 Out of Pocket

Support All Girls Mercy Education: Your participation will help ensure a Gwynedd Mercy education is accessible to all accepted students, regardless of financial circumstances.

Enrich Our Community: Your participation will strengthen our school community and support our mission.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Choose Your Commitment: Start by checking your PA state tax liability to determine the size of your donation — the easiest way is to look at Line 12 on last year’s PA-40. Then decide whether you would like to make a one-year (75% tax credit) or two-year (90% tax credit) commitment.

Join Through BLOCS or FCE: Gwynedd Mercy will introduce you to one of our partners thgouth which you will participate:
BLOCS (Business Leaders Organized for Catholic Schools) / Minimum Donation is $5,000
FCE (Foundation for Catholic Education) / Minimum Donation is $1,000

Make Your Contribution: Your initial contribution is due at the time of signing, with the second contribution for a two-year commitment usually due around the same time of the following year.

Receive Your Tax Credits: BLOCS or FCE will provide you with a K-1 form to include when filing your taxes, confirming your participation in the EITC/OSTC program. After you file your taxes, the state will issue your tax credit payment (please note that this may take several months).

Be sure to consult your tax advisor to explore any additional federal tax benefits you may be eligible for.

Support Gwynedd Mercy: Your donation directly benefits financial aid for qualifying students.

Note: Businesses can also apply directly through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to participate before May 15 (if renewing an ongoing commitment) or July 1 (if applying for a new commitment).
